Comments from Senior Staff

Senior Voice

We will introduce comments from senior staff about the work, attractive aspects, and their motivation.

H.Y.
Mold Section,
Production Engineering Department
Joined the company in 2004
Q.What is your current work?
I am in charge of designing molds to produce parts using 2D or 3D CAD design software and finishing molds. We integrally manufacture parts, so my mission is to release molds to the manufacturing department.
I feel very satisfied and a sense of attachment when I see finished molds with micron-level precision.
Since the molds I design are used for mass production at internal manufacturing sites, I can precisely understand the results of my design and fabrication, which raises my technical abilities and motivation.
Q.What is your priority in work?
To enjoy everything! I always try to remember this.
I enjoy connections with people in and outside of the company, as such communication may bring solutions to problems and new ideas. I believe that prioritizing such relationships is the secret to enjoying everything.
We often face many new challenges during technological development, and I always try to tackle these challenges as soon as possible. In addition, we prepare a backup plan in case our attempts fail. These efforts enable us to meet the development lead time. If we had to come up with a plan after a failure, it would take twice as long.
I have learned these tips from my senior colleagues in and outside the company.
Q.Do you have any future objective?
I hope to train as many younger staff as I can, and give them opportunities to experience various things, to learn the importance of enjoying everything and how to do it.
Q.Please give a message to jobseekers.
First, visit our plant! We welcome people who can share our attitude of enjoying everything. See our work sites with your own eyes, and then join us to create the future.
N.U.
Management Group,
No. 2 Manufacturing Section
Joined the company in 2012
Q.What is your current work?
Every day, I have to think what and how many products we need to produce based on customer orders, and by when. I am involved in production planning and managing production sites to deliver products to customers as promised.
Q.What is your priority in work?
I study how we can satisfy all stakeholders, including customers placing orders, suppliers of materials, and employees of our company who manufacture products at sites. My work is to make them satisfied and happy. I still get nervous whenever I talk with someone new, but such opportunities help me to grow. I will not hesitate to communicate with our stakeholders in the future.
Q.Do you have any future objective?
To make our sites resilient and strong so as to satisfy our customers.
I am currently engaged in management; I cannot manufacture products with my own hands.
I want to learn many more things, and improve my ability to create plans that enable our production staff to work more efficiently and smoothly, rather than only staying at my desk and giving instructions. In short, I want to become a leader people can trust.
Q.Please give a message to jobseekers.
Our company makes young employees experience various things, which is our great strength. At first, I sometimes had a negative feeling and wondered why they let me do things. But that negative feeling has totally disappeared now, and the challenges during my early days made me stronger.
Why not join us and share such exciting experiences?

Assembling Group, No. 2 Manufacturing Section
Joined the company in 2017
Q.What is your current work?
I am in charge of manufacturing connectors (products) used for automobiles.
Our products are manufactured fully automatically once we place the materials in the automatic assembling systems. I am also involved in facility checks and product inspections and measurements.
Q.What is your priority in work?
By using the same work methods in all processes including operating the automated assembling systems, we can ensure uniform quality. As we use the same methods every day, we can easily identify abnormalities in the movement or sound of systems.
I learned from my superiors that maintaining the same methods helps prevent defects, which is the key to “quality first.”
Q.Do you have any future objective?
Three years have passed since I came to Japan. I will start working at our Vietnam Plant next year.
I am nervous to start new things, but will do my best to reassure our younger staff who will join the company next year to work at the Vietnam Plant.
I will also study hard every day to improve my Japanese.
Q.Please give a message to jobseekers.
Let’s cooperate with each other in Japan and Vietnam!
